About Andrea Samuelson | Pumpkin Delivery McLean VA
From Classified Briefings to Cornstalks: My Porch Parade Story
I'm Andrea Samuelson, the owner and designer behind The Porch Parade.
Based in McLean, Virginia, I'm proud to serve families throughout the DMV area, including Arlington, Bethesda, Georgetown, Great Falls, McLean, Potomac, and Vienna. Having lived in this community for years, I understand what makes each neighborhood special and how to create displays that complement the unique character of DMV homes.

More about me - yes, until recently, I worked a government job in D.C., and yes, I got caught up in a Reduction‑in‑Force (the grown‑up way of saying, “we’re breaking up, it’s not me, it’s you”).
When you’re staring at a stack of cardboard boxes on your last day, you have two choices: polish your resume and go back for more, or ask yourself, “What do I actually want to do?” My answer was surprising even to me: I wanted to turn front porches into tiny celebrations - and spend more time with my family.
I live in McLean, Virginia, with a wildly energetic 7½‑year‑old who thinks our front steps are a stage. Every fall, I’d go all‑out with mums, hay bales and pumpkins. Neighbors started asking, “Could you do my porch too?” So I took that RIF severance and bet on something fun: turning a personal obsession into a business.
Since then, The Porch Parade has gone from “crazy idea” to a growing community of people who want to make their homes feel warm, festive and lived‑in. It’s not just about pumpkins; it’s about showing up for yourself and your family in small, joyful ways.
If you’ve ever wondered if a setback could be the start of something better—trust me, it can. And if you’ve ever wanted your house to look like a Pinterest board without lifting a finger, you’re in the right place.
